Joshua Mitchell - Founder
Josh's idea is that it should not be so hard to meet people in the real world. After a four-year relationship of his ended, he wanted to understand social interaction through studying gender science. Joshua eventually became certified in Micro Expressions and developed a strong background in understanding how men and women think. The next step was to share his information with the public. Enter Miss Pivot, a company focused on uncovering the truths of dating which Joshua founded in 2009 to make success in the social world simple for clients. He hopes that people will "stop hanging out in cliques at bars and be more social while out."
Kevin Emmons - Marketing Director
Kevin's goal is to inspire and awe clients with the amount of information available on social interactions. Kevin is not much different from you; he has also endured the struggles so commonly found in the dating world. After deciding he had enough, Kevin developed a background in cognitive science and evolutionary psychology to better understand the details he was missing. After becoming certified in body language, Kevin developed a majority of Miss Pivot's materials based on the fact that 55% of human communication is non-verbal.
Andrew Gouty - Strategist
Andrew is the man with the plan. Whether tasting the latest batch of wine he's vinted or kicking a ball around in his favorite past time of soccer, he will never shy away from a conversation about what Miss Pivot has coming next. If you want to know about the future, Andrew will tell you what it will be like (or at least how he wants it to be).
Lauren Eby - Workshop Director
After graduating with a degree in Psychology, Lauren joined Miss Pivot to better understand the science behind social interactions. Particularly intriguing to her are the dynamics found in relationships and what makes them succeed or fail. Currently, she is helping to develop Miss Pivot and Fire Cupid content and will soon contribute ideas for improving the services offered. Lauren is excited to learn all that Josh and Kevin have to teach and is looking forward to growing within the company.
Lacy Meyer - Pivot
Lacy can be seen in many of the Miss Pivot TV webisodes as a Pivot-in-training. Josh and Kevin were teaching Lacy the ins and outs of social interaction so that she could work one-on-one with clients to improve their social outings. During her training, she was presented with an acting school opportunity in New York where she is currently living.
Amanda Stegner - Blogger
Amanda contributes to the Miss Pivot website with her weekly blog articles. Each week she discusses a new topic centered around dating blunders, facts, and tips.
